The First 100

Welcome to the information page for the First 100: The Women’s Fiction Indie Author Club!

When I began my self-publishing journey the first thing that I knew I needed to do was connect with other self-published authors, especially women’s fiction writers, but like most newbies to the industry I wasn’t exactly sure how to do that. Overwhelmed with information I tried to follow the advice that seemed to be the most practical. I joined local writing groups in the hope that all of my connection problems would be solved. However, when I tried that, I saw that I was making connections with writers, but not business-minded, self-published authors. Ultimately, I felt out of place and my questions about the business of writing weren’t getting answered. Then I read that you need to join online groups and forums, but when I got to these sites and forums there were hundreds, even thousands of authors of every genre all discussing their self-publishing woes, and there I was stuck trying to figure out where to begin. After tiring of my own frustration I decided to take action and start my own group.

The first 100 is a group, but it is a different kind of group. This is a group for the independent women’s fiction author willing to work with and grow with other independent women’s fiction authors. So if you are interested in supporting other authors by providing reviews, opportunities to guest post on your website or blog, and you are willing to share your successes and failures in order to help everyone in the group grow their readership, consider joining.

At the end of the day you need to surround yourself with people that are going to have your back and support you. So think of it as an opportunity to make connects with people that are like minded and serious about growing their businesses. Remember, you don’t have to go at it alone, because the truth is that none of us can do it alone. We are stronger and better when we work together, so join today.

Head over to Goodreads and search for our group (The First 100: The Women’s Fiction Indie Author Club) and request to join. Once approved the fun can begin.  If you don’t have a Goodreads account you can sign up below by clicking the link below.
