The First 100

Welcome to the information page for the First 100: The Harlow Hayes Indie Author Club!

When I began my self-publishing journey the first thing that I knew I needed to do was connect with other self-published authors, but like most newbies to the industry I wasn’t exactly sure how to do that. Overwhelmed with information I tried to follow the advice that seemed to be the most practical. I joined local writing groups in the hope that all of my connection problems would be solved. However, when I tried that, I saw that I was making connections with writers, but not business-minded, self-published writers. Ultimately, I felt out of place and my questions about the business of writing weren’t getting answered. Then I read that you need to join online groups and forums, but when I got to these sites and forums there were hundreds, even thousands of authors all discussing their self-publishing woes, and there I was stuck trying to figure out where to begin. After tiring of my own frustration I decided to take action and start my own group.

The first 100 is a group, but it is a different kind of group. This is a group for the independent author willing to work with and grow with other independent authors, but the catch is that it is limited to one hundred people. Yep. One hundred.  So if you are interested in supporting other authors by providing reviews, opportunities to guest post on your website or blog, and you are willing to share your successes and failures in order to help everyone in the group grow their readership, consider joining. Also, if you join, you will receive free digital copies of all my published books as long as you are a member of the group.

At the end of the day you need to surround yourself with people that are going to have your back and support you. So think of it as having your own launch team. Your dream team. Your own family of supporters that are like minded and serious about growing their businesses. Remember, you don’t have to go at it alone, because the truth is that none of us can do it alone. We are stronger and better when we work together, so join today.

Head over to Goodreads and search for our group (The First 100: The Harlow Hayes Indie Author Club) and request to join. Once approved the fun can begin.  If you don’t have a Goodreads account you can sign up below by clicking the link below.
